Osborne County Farmer, Osborne City, Kansas, Thursday, December 20, 1883. Consists of four 28" x 22" pages. Opens to 44" wide (44" x 28" sheet)December 20th issue:1. Frank James was released on bail at Kansas City, upon the charge of participating in the Blue Cut train robbery, but before leaving the court room was again arrested by an officer from Gallatin, Mo. upon a warrant charging him with the murder of Captain Sheets. He was taken to Gallatin for trial.2. Emma Bond Story (national news story): Hillsboro, Wisconsin. Emma was the schoolteacher in town who was attacked by 3 men at the schoolhouse at the end of her day. She was given chloroform and and was "outraged" upon her person. December 14 was the first day of the trial for the 3 men being accused: Montgomery, Bettis and Clementi.3. "Swallowed by the Sea". nAccount of 4 ships recently lost: new Schooner "The Joseph Hilton", Schooner "Earl H. Potter", Bark Fannie H. Loring all from Philadelphia and a Norwegian bark "Protector".4. Wheeling, West Virginia: Big Bill Kenny acquitted of murder but then hung by mob.5. Republican and Democrats decide where their convention will be held.Condition: Some mild age-toning overall, folded. Worn at intersecting fold line. Creased near folds which should "iron out" (make sure to read up on the methods before doing). Overall, Very GoodI will be listing more issues.
